Performer Tracking in Practice

At the Burj Khalifa New Year’s Eve 2026, Kotov led the deployment of one of the largest Follow-Me 3D systems ever delivered — tracking 24 moving objects simultaneously across a kilometre-wide outdoor performance area on the Dubai Fountain lake:

  • 6× Follow-Me 3D SIX systems, primary + secondary servers + 3 additional servers
  • 5 cameras deployed across the site; multi-server target handoff via video-grade switching
  • 70+ fixtures calibrated to Follow-Me, including Robe iFORTE LTX and Ayrton Domino LT
  • Z-axis tracking for a conductor winched skyward during the show
  • Custom rigging brackets engineered for every fixture position — no conventional infrastructure existed
